This division has vast experience organising, flying and shooting Documentaries, Features and Television Commercials all over Australia and other exotic locations. The Fitzair Picture Company arranges all aspects of Aerial Photography covering Stills and Motion Picture. On most jobs we provide the helicopter, arrange pilots and ground crew, install the appropriate camera mount and if need be, take car of all aircraft, equipment and crew refuelling logistics for the assignment or project. CAMERA MOUNTS

The Fitzair Picture Company WesCam and the SpaceCam gyro systems, including Tyler and Continental Side nose mounts.

WesCam

WesCam use only side mounts and needs a support bracket through the rear cabin of the helicopter. Operating conditions can be rather cold in foul weather – but WesCam runs out 15%-20% cheaper.

SpaceCam

SpaceCam is a little faster to mount and is more versatile since it can be mounted nose or side and needs no support beam through the rear seat area; therefore the doors can stay on.

We arrange the mounting equipment to be freighted to the location or nominated airport as well as the engineers needed to install and secure the mount.

BELL JET RANGER 206B

Shown here with a Wescam exterior side mount. Four passengers + pilot – flight duration of around 2.5 hours. Suitable for Wescan, SpaceCan, Tyler & Continental mounts. Speed approx. 120kts. Installation time 1.5 hours. AU$POA per hour to operate (mount + install extra).

AEROSPACIAL ‘SQUIRREL’**

Five Passengers + Pilot, slightly larger than the jes Ranger. The ‘Squirrel’ has two engineers, allowing the craft to operate safely over built up area’s, mountains or to sea. Very Smooth (3 main discs). Speed approx. 140kts. Excellent for all gyro and standard mounts. AU$POA per hour to operate (mount + install extra).

Hughes 500e

Four passengers + pilot, perfect for all mounts. Multi blade disk means the craft is more agile. Excellent for confined areas and small velleys. Suitable for Wescam & SpaceCam systems, a little confined for good swing for the Continental and the Tyler side mounts. AU$POA per hour to operate (mount + install extra).

BELL 47G

Favourite 3 seater for outback (rural) work. The Bell 47, so called because it was certified in 1947, makes this helicopter a classic and one of the best observation platforms. This craft has a top speed of 70kts. Excellent for survey and still photography. AU$POA per hour to operate.

HUGHES 300c

These helicopters are a small 3 seater and like it’s bigger brother, the 500e, is very manoeuvrable and agile in the air. Operates at a speed of approx. 100kts. Excellent for survey and still photography. AU$POA per hour to operate.

ROBINSON R22

Pilot + one passenger. This is a relatively inexpensive aerial work horse with good air speed and flight duration. Mostly used for mustering cattle in outback Australia. Excellent for Survey and still photography. AU$POA per hour to operate.

ERICKSON AIRCRANE – S64

Heavylift rated for 10,000kg. Specialist lifting of larger or odd loads. Fire fighting module delivers nearly 9,5k litres per drop. Seasonal and conditional availability apply. AU$POA per hour to operate.
